This was a much better experience than the first 5k I ran in April. I planned much better overall and, most important, made my way to the front of the pack which paid dividends.

The event was a success all the way around and I improved my time by 2:23 or :45 / mile.

The next race I am looking at is the Claremont 4th of July 5k and then I begin a pretty intense 1/2 marathon training program shortly thereafter. My plan is to run a few more shorter distance races before December 6 when I attempt the Las Vegas Half Marathon. I’ll keep you posted on my progress as I go along.
