Here are some photos from the San Clemente Beach Festival we took the kids to a week or so ago. I’ll post a new set from the Orange County Fair which we went to this past weekend shortly.

Okay, okay…

…it’s been forever and a day (remember that old saying?) since I have updated this site. Between the economy taking its toll on my 9-5 which is effectively 6-4, the kids, school, and running, I have had little time for anything else over the last few weeks. So, I figured I would take a minute here at work to provide an update on the family and myself.

First, Madison started 1st grade this past Monday. This went a lot better than I had thought given she was nearly in tears anytime the word school was mentioned in our home over the last month. Better yet, the full day of school makes her konk out as soon as her little head hits the pillow every night. She is doing great and, if it were not for our camera dying on us a week or so ago, I would have provided pictures.

Second, Courtney and I both started classes at National University on Monday. This will be the third school that I have attempted to begin my MBA at, and will hopefully be my last. I originally started at University of Redlands but the class-until-10 o’clock nights coupled with my have-to-be-at-the-office-at-six mornings was a bit of a challenge. I then decided to go back to Phoenix because I was familiar with the platform and they would waive my tuition for the first course. After a couple of classes with people who could barely write a coherent sentence, I figured I better look elsewhere.

My original plan was to try ot get into Pepperdine, UCI, or a Cal State school. After my miserable score on the GMAT, those options were out. Court had always told me I should look at National and, given my options, this seemed like the best bet. It’s fairly cheap compared to the $75k nut I would be left with at Pepperdine and so far everyone in my course can write at a decent level.

Thirdly, Jack has turned into a little fish. Not literally, but you should see the kid try to swim now. I have been trying to take them to the pool a couple times a week to get them out of mom’s hair, and the little guy tries like hell to keep up with his sister.

Other than that, there is nothing new to report. I have a few trips to the East coming up in the next couple of months and, hopefully, will have some pics to post before then.

Until next time,

Jamie
